Tinpotters!

Today 2021 celebrated it’s 10th Birthday Party and Tinpot were there hosting a graffiti battle that turned into family friendly spray paint carnage! We were joined by the brilliant street artist Tom Butcher. Take a look at what he helped us all create:

Tom Butcher and his sidekick for the day, Jack

Breaking in the wall

Jack’s design comes to life as Tom breaks the white space with outline.

Sharing the wall space with new members of the Tinpot crew

Our crew members were pretty young at the beginning of the day.

Everyone was getting involved.

People waiting to get started.

This young tinpotter had a whole wall to herself!

As did this young man! We love these colours!

Lots of young people wrote their names from their bedrooms.

Fetching outfits!

Proud Tinpotter

The Tinpot tent became so popular we ran out of room to paint. Emergency supplies of mountboard were dug out for those who wanted to continue.

Another Tinpotter showing off her splendid work.

The backs of the boards.

All coming together nicely.

We even had to use the board mounts for space to fill!

This amazing young man entertained us with his breakdancing moves. He told us he learnt them by just watching videos! CLEVER!

Proud and positively Tinpotty about her final piece!

Jack's final piece! Beautiful stuff!

There were lots of other events going on today to celebrate 2021’s birthday too:

These angels kept people entertained all day long!

David Kefford's large sculptural piece.

John Hicks... action shot!

John Hicks amazing performance painting! Very clever indeed!

John Hicks' final piece.

Some beautiful big peacocks.

Kirsty Champs wicker birthday cake, decorated by lots of groups around North Lincolnshire.

Yen Ip drawing caricatures

Today was a really brilliant day for the arts in North Lincolnshire. Some brilliant work was made by both public and professionals alike! Tinpot really enjoyed our time there and developed some lovely pieces with some very talented young artists. We hope to do some similar work in the future! We will keep you posted!

Thanks for reading tinpotters!
